Signbox Senior Software Engineer
To support the aggressive growth plans for 2012 and beyond, Signbox Microsystems Pte Ltd hired Regan to continue the development of innovative new products and services as well as to support existing digital signage deployments. This technical appointment strengthens the software team and is designed to accelerate product and software development as well as enhance overall support.
Regan is a recent graduate from the prestigious Master of Technology, Software Engineering program at the National University of Singapore (NUS), recognised as one of the leading universities in Asia and the world. During his time at NUS, Regan had the invaluable opportunity to magnify his technical expertise through his work with Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. Regan was previously employed at ZEiSys Technologies, a leading provider of Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing solutions. While there, he took part in the technical deployments for high-profile clients such as IAP, PowerCENTRAL, and US-DOD.
A key part of Regan’s role will be spearheading the development of new products and modules to enrich the Signbox digital signage solution as well as the enhancement of existing modules such as the recently released signEye and signFB, the facial recognition and social media integrated tools. Regan’s appointment will be crucial for the timely release of Signbox’s future products such as signTweet which will allow business to display their Twitter stream across their digital signage network.
signFB allows businesses to leverage social networking and digital signage spend by bringing the company’s Facebook feed to their digital signage network allowing customers to see live updates and post real-time comments at the business premises. Users can also scan QR codes from the digital screens to easily “Like” a business’ Facebook page.

Francis Regan will be based at Signbox’s headquarters in Singapore. He received his B.E. in Computer Science in 2009 from Hindustan College of Engineering in Chennai, India. He further received a Diploma in Management from Madras University, which he pursued concurrently to working. His strong results earned him a rare spot in the Master of Technology in Software Engineering programme at the National University of Singapore, whose Computer Engineering faculty is ranked 12th globally.
